At Color My World, our story flows through the lifeblood of South Louisiana, its Gulf Coast, its winding waterways, and the vibrant Cajun culture that makes this land unique. Our legacy began centuries ago with Raphael Segura, who followed his heart from Málaga, Spain, chasing the woman he loved to the heart of our bayous, where their love took root. Alongside this romantic journey, our Doucet family ancestors, exiled from Nova Scotia during the Great Expulsion of the 1750s, were torn from their homes, bound in chains, and transported on boats to New Orleans. From this hardship, they wove their Acadian spirit, resilience, and passion for life into the soul of South Louisiana. The Gulf’s salty breeze, the rhythm of the bayous, and the joyous celebrations of our people—our family gatherings, savory food, lively dances, and bold artistic expressions—course through our bloodstream. In South Louisiana, our artistry shines even in the way we talk with our hands, welcoming every soul with warmth, for no human is a stranger when met by a Cajun from our land. We pour our hearts and souls into everything we love, striving to keep our unique Cajun culture alive through every artistic endeavor.
Founded by a proud Cajun woman, with the steadfast support of her uncle and a family forged in a veteran history of fighting for the freedoms once stripped from our ancestors, Color My World is more than a business—it’s a mission to preserve and share the vibrant, welcoming culture of South Louisiana. The waterways of Louisiana, with their timeless currents and stories of survival and love, taught us to see spaces as living canvases, as spirited as our fais-do-dos and as soulful as our gumbo. Our family’s legacy of craftsmanship—woven into intricate designs, heartfelt storytelling, spirited dance, expressive hand gestures, and artistry that captures the essence of our heritage—lives on in our pioneering use of 4D printing, LiDAR, and 3D scanning. These cutting-edge technologies allow us to push boundaries, creating dynamic, evolving works of art that celebrate and sustain the unique, open-hearted culture of Louisiana while honoring our past.
Based in Louisiana but ready to bring our vision anywhere, we infuse every project with the soul of South Louisiana’s people, its Gulf Coast, its waterways, and its boundless love for family, food, dance, and artistic expression. Whether it’s a 4D-printed design that pulses like a Cajun two-step, a LiDAR scan preserving a sacred space, or a 3D model capturing your story with the warmth of a family feast, we craft spaces that reflect the same resilience and hospitality as our ancestors who thrived in this land. At Color My World, we don’t just transform spaces—we pour our hearts and souls into keeping South Louisiana’s culture alive, carrying forward the romantic legacy of Raphael Segura, who chased love across the sea, the enduring spirit of the exiled Doucet family, and the pride of a veteran lineage, all woven into the vibrant, hand-talking, stranger-embracing artistic expressions that make our land and waters uniquely Louisiana.
